We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Linux Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of Linux-based systems while also leveraging modern AI-assisted tools to improve operational efficiency, automation, and system reliability.
This role includes traditional systems administration responsibilities along with the opportunity to adopt AI-driven practices such as intelligent automation, incident analysis, and operational optimization.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Ansible, Bash, Python.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support infrastructure and application deployments.
- Perform regular system patching and vulnerability remediation to maintain compliance and reduce risk.
- Provide high-level expertise in resolving complex technical issues and outages in time-sensitive environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to address infrastructure and application-related issues.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for optimization.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or enterprise AI platforms) to accelerate scripting, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize AI-driven observability and monitoring platforms to detect anomalies, predict failures, and reduce incident response time.
- Develop and maintain intelligent automation workflows that incorporate AI/ML insights for system management and remediation.
- Assist in evaluating and integrating AI tools into existing Linux engineering workflows (e.g., runbook automation, ticket triage, log analysis).
- Use AI to analyze logs, metrics, and system patterns to identify root causes and recommend preventative actions.
- Contribute to the development of internal AI-driven tools or pipelines that improve team productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure AI usage aligns with security, compliance, and data governance policies.
Qualifications
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Senior Linux Engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL.
- Proficiency in automation using Ansible and Bash. Python is a nice to have.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

- Thursday-Monday schedule (including weekend coverage).
- Hybrid role with 3 in-office days per week.
