Microscopy and Microanalysis Engineer - Scope of Work

The role will primarily provide technical assistance and operational support for microscopy, microanalysis, and laboratory activities. Key responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with metallographic investigation of various materials to support process development activities using microscopy and microanalysis techniques.
2. Supporting data analysis and helping correlate microstructure with material performance characteristics.
3. Assisting with fractography of components and supporting failure analysis investigations to identify probable root causes.
4. Supporting mechanical testing activities and assisting in preparation of test reports in accordance with relevant international standards.
5. Assisting with material curve generation and supporting material data release processes.
6. Supporting surface analysis activities, including SEM-EDX operation, and providing preliminary observations with limited interpretation of microstructural features.
7. Assisting in maintaining complete traceability of work scope, including procedures, calibrations, documentation, expense tracking, and specification review records.
8. Supporting the maintenance of laboratory documentation in compliance with international standards, EHS requirements, and lab operational needs.
9. Participating in internal and external quality audits and assisting in administration of the laboratory QMS.
10. Providing technician-level and operational support for laboratory activities in accordance with applicable ISO requirements.

Materials Testing Lab experience, 2 to 4 years.
