  • Must have CA / CPA / CMA / MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 12-20 yrs. of experience with successful track record in handling medium size projects.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Advance the Adani Group's longterm vision in Bhutan through the development of largescale energy projects aligned with International, National and Regional energy strategies.
  • Strengthen India-Bhutan energy cooperation by driving the strategic development of crossborder hydropower initiatives.
Business Operational
  • Enable fasttracked execution of the Hydroelectric Project by leveraging technical expertise, financial strength, and project management capabilities.
  • Ensure timely and efficient implementation to set benchmarks for future hydropower and renewable energy projects in the region.
Organizational Development
  • Strengthen institutional capabilities through structured collaboration between DGPC and Adani Group, fostering knowledge transfer and best practices in large hydro project development.
  • Support scalable project frameworks to enable Bhutan's planned addition of hydropower and solar capacity by 2040.
Risk Management
  • Mitigate project execution, financial, and operational risks through robust planning, governance, and proven implementation methodologies.
  • Ensure project sustainability while safeguarding longterm energy security for Bhutan.
Stakeholder and Partnership Management
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with DGPC, government authorities, and regional stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination.
  • Enhance bilateral grid connectivity and cooperation between Bhutan and India through collaborative power sector development.

Non-negotiable responsibilities for this Role:

  • Proven experience in largescale infrastructure / hydropower / renewable energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of project finance, regulatory frameworks, and energy sector economics
  • Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, execution governance, and risk mitigation
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across government, regulators, partners, and investors
  • High level of financial acumen and commercial decisionmaking ability
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, multistakeholder and multicultural environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Track record of driving timely execution, cost discipline, and operational excellence
