Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion and transformation.
Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
Develop data solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
Ensure data quality, security, and governance across data platforms.
Optimize data processing performance and troubleshoot production issues.
Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
Implement CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows.
Monitor and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL.
Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling.
Proficiency in Python and/or Java for data processing.
Experience in ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration.
Knowledge of Apache Spark and Apache Beam is preferred.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification (Preferred).
Experience with Airflow/Cloud Composer.
Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
