Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor data engineering teams in designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions, while collaborating closely with business analysts, QA, and stakeholders in an agile development environment.
• Partner with Fusion core architects and enterprise architecture teams to propose, evaluate, and integrate architectural changes into the broader data ecosystem.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with data architecture best practices.
• Contribute to project planning and estimation, representing the engineering team in project meetings, solution discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Ensure application and data solution quality, with strict adherence to performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Drive adoption of best practices in documentation, design patterns, code reuse, and re-factoring to improve consistency and maintainability.
• Guarantee high standards of availability, scalability, security, and extensibility across internally developed data applications and platforms.
• Collaborate with EY teams and third-party contractors, ensuring alignment, integration, and smooth execution of joint initiatives.
• Provide regular updates on the status of technical stacks, architectural initiatives, and key risks to stakeholders and leadership.
• Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends, while maintaining proficiency in the existing Azure data ecosystem.
• Support special projects and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to accelerate innovation and business value.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science / engineering or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology

Minimum 5 years of experience in development using Azure and Databricks technologies.

Experience building UI applications using Angular and Java

Deep understanding of SPARK technologies

Minimum 2 years of application design experience using Design Patterns, UML, component architecture, unit/functional testing, and/ or database design/tuning.

Databricks Platform Architect certified and/or Azure Architect certified.

Desired Characteristics:

Strong working knowledge of the Financial Industry and Wealth management

Experience in designing and developing applications using microservices architecture and cloud-based technologies.

Ability to achieve results in a cross-functional matrix organization involving multiple technologies, personnel, and processes.
