Role- Datadog Technical Engineer
Competencies Required- Datadog, Linux, Java, Tomcat, API, Terraform
Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities: As a Datadog Technical Engineer, act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers and partners implement, optimize, and scale Datadog's observability and security platform and work across pre-sales, post-sales, and support functions to ensure successful adoption and integration of Datadog solutions.
Primary Role & Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise & Implementation
Administer and configure Datadog tools on Linux platforms, especially for Java-based applications (e.g., Tomcat).
Instrument applications for Application Performance Monitoring (APM), Real User Monitoring (RUM), and centralized logging.
Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Datadog.
Support infrastructure monitoring across Linux, Windows, and AIX environments.
Integrate Datadog with other tools like ELK Stack, SNMP, and load balancers (e.g., F5).
Customer Engagement & Enablement
Conduct technical demos, workshops, and product evaluations.
Collaborate with sales teams to qualify and close opportunities.
Provide strategic guidance and training to customers to maximize product value.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, ensuring a positive experience.
Collaboration & Innovation
Work closely with engineering, product management, and customer success teams.
Contribute to product development through customer feedback.
Develop scalable training content and enablement programs.
