Lead UI Engineer / UI Frontend Lead

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, rigorous, and execution-focused Lead UI Engineer to oversee and elevate frontend development across our portfolio of complex internal tools. In this role, you will take absolute ownership of the UI architecture, driving frontend standardization, consistency, and reusability across all projects.

This position demands an individual who can bridge the gap between architectural vision and strict delivery, ensuring absolute technical governance across data-intensive, insights-rich, and AI-driven internal applications.

Mission: Establish a highly polished, strictly standardized, and reusable frontend ecosystem that

accelerates developer velocity while matching enterprise-grade design systems.

Core Responsibilities:

UI Standardization & System Governance: Design, build, and mandate a single, canonical, highly reusable component library to serve all internal applications, ensuring long-term UI consistency.

Ownership & Execution: Take absolute ownership of the UI layer. Establish engineering excellence, define front-end coding standards, and perform strict code reviews to ensure clean, reusable implementations.

Advanced Application Architecture: Drive the frontend architecture for data-rich dashboards, complex analytical platforms, and AI-driven workflows that incorporate LLM responses, agentic state tracking, and heavy telemetry.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with product managers and backend engineering teams to ensure optimal data serialization, state management, and seamless end-to-end performance.

Collaboration: Act as the anchor for the offshore engineering team while maintaining close synchronization with PST-based stakeholders via designated overlap hours.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills:

Frontend Technical Mastery: 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a heavy emphasis on modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or standard Web Components.

Complex Data & AI Integration: Proven experience building data-dense, insights-driven dashboards. Expertise in optimizing client-side performance for real-time rendering, massive datasets, and asynchronous AI/LLM streaming interfaces.

Component System Design: Demonstrated experience creating or heavily extending robust, accessible (WCAG compliant), and fully themeable enterprise design systems or component libraries.

State Management & Architecture: Advanced knowledge of complex client-side state management (e.g., Redux, MobX, Signals) and efficient data-fetching paradigms.

Offshore Communication & Autonomy: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of driving execution independently while maintaining scheduled overlapping windows with PST time zones.

Preferred Attributes:

Familiarity or experience building internal tooling within enterprise ecosystems.

Strong visual aesthetic and a high standard for layouts, layout alignment, and standardized interaction design.

Experience with performance profiling, bundle size optimization, and automated visual regression testing.
