Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Build and maintain deep understanding of local market demand, trade dynamics (including competitor and market trend analysis) and upcoming project opportunities for India including marine terminals and land side projects.
  • \n
  • Support in Identification and origination of new BD opportunities whether related to mergers & acquisitions, public and private tender bids, divestments etc aligned with PSA India’s strategy.
  • \n
  • Provide internal expertise in landside and intermodal logistics for project development, government approvals and regulations, commercial and operational procedures and market (cargo and competition) assessments
  • \n
  • Carry out preliminary ground research and assessment on BD opportunities (in landside hinterland facilities, intermodal rail opportunities and marine terminals), conduct due diligence (internally, or with consultants when required) for selected projects.
  • \n
  • Carry out evaluation and support in implementation of expansion of land logistics business through strategic collaboration.
  • \n
  • Preparation of financial models and financial analysis of project opportunities
  • \n
  • Support in preparation of business proposals, investment paper, and presentations for management and other key stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Support and coordinate on submission of documents for project meetings, bid clarifications, and bid/offer submission.

Additional Responsibilities:

    \n
  • Coordinate appropriate cross-functional resources from various business units for projects, plan and manage timeline of activities to meet target internal approval and submission deadlines
  • \n
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders relevant to projects of interest, and for industry pipeline of projects.
  • \n
  • Support in preparation of a database of future BD opportunities, marine and land side trade flow , key stakeholders, partners and competitors to support the PSA India and MESAAT regional business development and strategy.
  • \n
  • Participate in cross-functional collaborations contributing business development considerations.
  • \n
  • Other work as assigned related to business development, investments and strategy

Prerequisites:

\n
    \n
  • Preferably qualifications in Business management, Finance/Accounting or logistics and supply Chain management.
  • \n
  • At least 8-10 years’ relevant working experience in Business Development, Commercial Strategy, operational and P&L roles (at least 3 years) with a deep understanding and exposure to India ICDs, CFS, rail logistics and ports.
  • \n
  • Deep knowledge, experience and familiarity with building financial modelling, valuation analysis, building business case presentations and investment case documentation preparation and preferably in a marine or logistics industry background
  • \n
  • Possess extensive network of contacts in India relevant to the Ports and Logistics industry (especially Inland Container Depots and rail operations) including government officials, industry players, consultants and advisors etc.
  • \n
  • Team player with proactive and result-oriented personality and ability to inspire and organize teammates to achieve common goals
  • \n
  • Confident, good articulation, mature with high sense of direction.
  • \n
  • Enjoy meeting people and able to work in fast-paced environment.
  • \n
  • High energy, enthusiastic, motivated self-starter who enjoys challenges
  • \n
  • Works well under pressure within tight deadlines, and on multiple and complex projects.
  • \n
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills to prepare business case presentations
  • \n
  • Able to maintain high confidentiality of key project information, strategy considerations and other company developmental plans.
  • \n
  • Willing to travel extensively within short notice.
