Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Cost Accountant with strong domain expertise in ESR and forging operations , specifically within the defence manufacturing segment. The role requires a professional who can drive cost efficiency, develop robust costing systems, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Costing & Analysis
\n

• Develop and maintain accurate product costing for ESR and forging processes
\n
• Conduct variance analysis (material, labor, overheads) and identify cost optimization opportunities
\n
• Prepare detailed cost sheets for defense-grade products
\n

1. System Development & Process Improvement
\n

\n
• Design and implement new costing systems, controls, and MIS frameworks
\n
• Drive automation and digitization initiatives in costing and reporting
\n
• Strengthen internal controls and standard costing mechanisms
\n

\n
1. SAP & Digital Integration
\n

\n
• Hands-on working experience in SAP (CO, MM, PP modules preferred)
\n
• Ensure accurate cost capture and reporting through SAP systems
\n
• Collaborate with IT teams for system enhancements and AI-driven analytics
\n

1. Budgeting & MIS
\n

\n
• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts
\n
• Monitor actual performance vs budget and report deviations
\n
• Deliver insightful MIS reports to senior management
\n

\n
1. Defense Sector Costing
\n

\n
• Understand cost structures specific to defense manufacturing
\n
• Support pricing decisions, tenders, and contract costing
\n
• Ensure compliance with industry norms and audit requirements
\n

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
\n

\n
• Work closely with production, procurement, and finance teams
\n
• Provide cost inputs for strategic and operational decisions
\n

Key Requirements

\n
• CMA qualified with 5–10 years of relevant experience
\n
• Mandatory experience in ESR / Forging industry , preferably in the defence segment
\n
• Proven track record in developing and implementing costing systems
\n
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP environment
\n
• High level of analytical and problem-solving ability
\n
