\nRole Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Manager: General Insurance, based in Thane. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities in general insurance, building and maintaining relationships with corporate and individual clients, and promoting suitable insurance products and solutions. The Business Development Manager will prepare and deliver proposals, negotiate terms with clients, and coordinate with internal teams for policy issuance, renewals, and claims support. The role also includes market research, competitor analysis, and regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline, and client feedback. The individual is expected to contribute to business growth targets while upholding regulatory requirements and the company’s standards of transparency and client service.

- Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, client relationship management, and negotiation. \n
- Knowledge of general insurance products, underwriting basics, and policy structures across commercial and retail lines. \n
- Ability to analyze client risk profiles, prepare proposals, and optimize insurance portfolios for coverage and cost. \n
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in explaining complex insurance concepts clearly. \n
- Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple clients, deadlines, and documentation requirements. \n
- Comfort with using CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and digital communication platforms. \n
- Prior experience in insurance broking, general insurance sales, or financial services business development is highly preferred. \n
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field; relevant insurance certifications or IRDA training are an advantage. \n
- Demonstrated integrity, customer-centric mindset, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. \n
