The Opportunity

\n

We are looking for a talented and experienced Account Manager to join our high-performing sales team, owning the Government and Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) accounts across the West region . This is a career-defining opportunity to drive growth in one of India's most strategic and complex markets, working directly with senior stakeholders across government departments and PSUs, while building a robust ecosystem of System Integrators (SIs) and channel partners.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Own and drive sales growth across Government and PSU accounts in the West region
  • \n
  • Build and maintain strong, senior-level relationships with key decision-makers, including CIOs, CISOs, and other senior officials within government departments and PSUs
  • \n
  • Develop a deep understanding of government procurement processes, including tendering, RFPs/RFEs, GeM (Government e-Marketplace), and empanelment requirements, and navigate them effectively to win business
  • \n
  • Develop robust account and territory business plans, execute against them, and adapt proactively to policy and market changes
  • \n
  • Orchestrate all stakeholders involved in the sales cycle — System Integrators, distributors, OEM partners, and internal marketing teams
  • \n
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, combining existing account growth with new business development across government and PSU segments
  • \n
  • Cultivate strong relationships across the partner ecosystem relevant to government business, and actively recruit and enable new System Integrators and resellers with government empanelment
  • \n
  • Deliver regular, accurate reporting on pipeline status, tender tracking, and lead generation activity
  • \n
  • Educate and enable channel and SI partners to effectively position and sell Check Point solutions within government and PSU accounts
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with government procurement norms, security clearance requirements, and documentation standards throughout the sales cycle
  • \n

What We're Looking For

\n
    \n
  • 10+ years of relevant sales experience, with a strong focus on Government and PSU accounts, ideally within the technology or cyber security sector
  • \n
  • A strong academic background; a Master's degree in Management or a related field is preferred
  • \n
  • Proven working knowledge of the Government and PSU landscape in the West region (Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat) including key departments, decision-making processes, and procurement cycles
  • \n
  • Hands-on experience with government tendering processes, GeM, and partner empanelment requirements
  • \n
  • A track record of selling security, network, or Internet Protocol (IP) network-related solutions into government or PSU accounts
  • \n
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting, enabling, and growing System Integrator and partner ecosystems for government business
  • \n
  • A results-oriented, action-driven approach to achieving targets in long-cycle, compliance-heavy sales environments
  • \n
  • Strong project planning and project management capabilities
  • \n
  • Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively within virtual, cross-functional teams
