Essential Job Functions:
- Perform first and second-level contract reviews on complex and strategic deals, ensuring accurate revenue recognition in compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606).
- Review and ensure contracts are accurately reflected in ERP reporting systems.
- Prepare and document revenue accounting memos for complex transactions and GTM business models.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, GTM, Deal Desk, Sales, and Sales Operations as a Revenue Accounting subject matter expert.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.
- Ensure consistent application of revenue recognition policies across teams.
- Implement and maintain internal controls for bookings, billings, and revenue recognition processes.
- Ensure SOX compliance and support internal and external audit activities.
- Monitor US GAAP and SEC updates related to revenue accounting.
- Perform month-end close activities, including revenue reconciliations, journal entries, and management reporting.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Sales Finance on revenue forecasting and SaaS metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize revenue accounting and reduce close cycles.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to improve workflows, analytics, and decision-making.
- Contribute to revenue policy development and scalable global processes.
Experience & Credentials
- Active CPA designation preferred.
- 7+ years of post-qualification experience in a SaaS organization or Big 4/top consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 with experience in SaaS/software revenue recognition.
- Proven experience managing complex cross-functional projects with FP&A, Sales, Marketing, and Information Systems.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience integrating AI-powered tools, automated workflows, or AI-driven insights into business processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
