About The Job:
- Experience: 5-8 Years
- The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Big Data technologies including Scala, Spark, Hive SQL, GCP, BigQuery, ETL, and Data Modeling. The role involves software development, architecture, technical leadership, cloud-based solution development, CI/CD integration, and collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide thought leadership, engineering expertise and direction to the engineering teams; collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and cross-functional technology groups to drive continuous delivery.
- Drive user story analysis and elaboration, design and develop software applications, and build automation tools.
- Own all technical aspects of software development including architecture, design, and development of assigned applications.
- Perform hands-on software development, writing code, API specifications, proof of concepts, code reviews, and testing activities.
- Drive consistent development practices, tools, and common components.
- Develop deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms.
- Work with technical product managers contributing to blueprints and annual feature planning.
- Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies and addressing future challenges.
- Communicate solution designs effectively with internal and external business partners.
- Design and develop end-to-end business intelligence solutions using Power BI.
- Define and implement data models, KPIs, metrics, dashboards, reports, semantic models, and metadata repositories.
- Troubleshoot and optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of commercial software development experience.
- Experience developing and hosting solutions on Google Cloud Platform including Google Cloud Storage and BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience with Scala, Spark, Hive SQL, and Big Data Lake technologies.
- Experience with ETL processes, tools, and Big Data modeling.
- Experience with Secure File Transfer (SFT) operations.
- Experience with Agile development, CI/CD, and automated release management using Maven, Salt, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience with architecture design and modeling of complex systems.
- Good understanding of HTTP, Apache, Unix/Linux, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Development, Testing, Agile Methodologies, and High Availability Application Design.
- Product Engineering knowledge preferred.
