ServiceNow CMDB Architect

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Architect to design, implement, and govern the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) architecture. The role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, CI relationships, and alignment with ITIL practices to support IT operations, service management, and enterprise architecture.Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect the end-to-end ServiceNow CMDB framework
• Define CMDB data model, CI classes, and relationship mappings
• Establish and enforce CMDB governance, standards, and best practices
• Lead CMDB discovery, normalization, reconciliation, and data quality initiatives
• Integrate CMDB with Discovery, Service Mapping, HAM, SAM, and ITSM modules
• Ensure accurate CI lifecycle management across infrastructure and applications
• Implement CMDB health dashboards, audits, and compliance reporting
• Work closely with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to maintain CI accuracy
• Define and optimize ServiceNow Discovery and integration strategies
• Troubleshoot CMDB data issues and drive continuous improvement
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in ServiceNow CMDB architecture and design
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping
• Deep understanding of CI classes, relationships, and CMDB data model
• Experience with data normalization, reconciliation, and identification rules
• Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API)
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, especially Configuration Management
• Experience integrating CMDB with third-party tools and cloud platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
