Responsibilities and JD in brief along with additional criteria to be considered (if any): Key Role & Responsibilities * Manage the end-to-end software asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, usage, and retirement. * Configure, maintain, and enhance ServiceNow SAM Pro modules. * Maintain accurate software license records, contracts, entitlements, and compliance positions. * Conduct license reconciliation across major vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM). * Monitor usage data to detect underutilized or unused licenses and recommend optimization opportunities. * Ensure audit readiness and support internal and external software audits. * Work with procurement, security, finance, and IT operations to drive SAM policies and governance. * Support Discovery and CMDB quality improvements aligned with SAM best practices. * Develop and maintain software catalog and normalization rules within ServiceNow. * Provide regular reporting on compliance status, risks, and savings opportunities. * Manage end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal. * Maintain accurate data in ServiceNow and CMDB. * Ensure proper asset tagging, discovery, reconciliation, and updates. * Build and maintain asset models, catalog items, and stock rules. * Track asset movement, assignment, warranty, and maintenance data. * Conduct periodic physical and automated inventory audits. * Drive standardization for hardware procurement and disposal processes. * Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance policies. * Collaborate with IT operations, finance, procurement, and logistics teams. Required Skills * Handson experience with process and policy implementation in both HAM and SAM areas. * Strong understanding of license models, entitlements, and compliance. * Experience with software audits and responding to vendor queries. * Knowledge of CMDB, Discovery and HAM. * Strong analytical skills to interpret usage and compliance data. | |
