We are looking for a Senior Manager, Application Software Engineering to lead an engineering organization responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and delivering software systems across applications, services, platforms, tools, and cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader who can grow high-performing teams, drive execution across complex programs, and influence the future of healthcare technology on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
In this role, you will lead senior engineers, partner with product and architecture leaders, and own the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable healthcare solutions. You will help shape technical direction, establish engineering standards, and build an organization capable of supporting healthcare customers operating critical workloads at enterprise scale.

  • Lead and grow a high-performing software engineering team within Oracle Health & AI.

  • Manage engineers who design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and operate software programs, applications, tools, and services.

  • Own planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering initiatives across multiple workstreams.

  • Partner with product management, architecture, security, operations, clinical stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Drive technical excellence in cloud-native development, distributed systems, observability, performance, resiliency, privacy, and security.

  • Build and scale engineering processes for roadmap planning, sprint execution, release readiness, operational reviews, and production support.

  • Ensure solutions meet the expectations of healthcare customers for reliability, compliance, data protection, scalability, and usability.

  • Mentor engineers, support career growth, and build a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

  • Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs clearly to senior leadership and partner organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience leading engineering teams.

  • 5+ years of people management experience, preferably managing managers or senior technical leads.

  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud services, SaaS platforms, healthcare applications, data platforms, AI-enabled products, or distributed systems.

  • Strong technical foundation in modern software architecture, APIs, microservices, databases, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.

  • Experience with Java, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, REST/gRPC services, Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native engineering practices.

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or comparable public cloud platforms.

  • Strong judgment in balancing delivery speed, operational reliability, security, and long-term maintainability.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
