We are seeking a Data Scientist intern to contribute to the evaluation, optimization, and continuous improvement of AI-powered decision systems.
This role focuses on applying data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis to improve AI Agent quality in critical compliance and KYC-related initiatives.
You will investigate AI decision patterns, identify improvement opportunities, and transform complex datasets into actionable insights.

Accountabilities:
The Data Scientist will support research, analysis, and development efforts focused on improving AI Agent decision quality and operational effectiveness. Key responsibilities include:
- Participate in research initiatives focused on AI Agent decision-quality analysis and continuous improvement.
- Perform root-cause analysis on AI Agent decisions using statistical and data analysis techniques.
- Develop and research statistical algorithms and machine learning models to improve system performance.
- Use Python and SQL to process data, validate hypotheses, and support production applications involving large language models (LLMs).
- Extract, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to generate measurable insights and actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate AI outputs and identify patterns, errors, and improvement opportunities.
- Support the creation of analytical reports, technical documentation, and project deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance AI quality initiatives and improve project outcomes.
- Contribute to AI optimization workflows with a strong focus on accuracy, reliability, and business impact.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical STEM graduate with strong foundations in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies. Required qualifications include:
- Master's degree or above in a STEM-related field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong Python skills with the ability to independently write data processing and analysis scripts using tools such as pandas and numpy.
- Experience completing at least one end-to-end project from concept to final deliverable.
- Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning fundamentals, model training, and classification evaluation metrics such as precision, recall, confusion matrices, false positives, and false negatives.
- Ability to translate analytical findings into clear conclusions and practical recommendations.
- Fluency in English reading and writing, as project documentation and code are maintained in English.
- Experience using SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI Agents, or related AI projects is a plus.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT with a strong verification mindset.
- Background or interest in financial risk, KYC, compliance, or fraud prevention is beneficial.
- Strong ownership mindset, teamwork skills, and ability to take responsibility for project outcomes.
