Job Title : Technical Consultant - Banking Technology, Business Consulting Group
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant with strong expertise in banking technology, core banking, payments, integration architecture, cloud deployment, and enterprise solution design. The candidate will be responsible for designing end-to-end banking solutions, translating business requirements into scalable technical architectures, supporting proposals and estimations, and conducting solution demonstrations for clients and internal stakeholders.
The role requires a strong understanding of banking products, payments landscape, digital banking trends, enterprise platforms, and modern technology architecture including APIs, microservices, middleware, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud-native deployments.
- Design end-to-end banking solution architecture covering core banking, payments, digital channels, integration, reporting, and surrounding systems.
- Understand client business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and future-ready enterprise architectures.
- Provide architecture guidance across core banking, payments, lending, deposits, customer onboarding, digital banking, and integration areas.
- Define solution components involving APIs, microservices, middleware, event-driven integration, and enterprise service layers.
- Support cloud-native deployment architecture using containers, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud platforms.
- Prepare technical solution documents, architecture diagrams, integration designs, deployment models, and implementation roadmaps.
- Contribute to technical proposals, RFP responses, solution sizing, effort estimation, and implementation approach.
- Work closely with client stakeholders, business teams, product teams, delivery teams, and technology partners during presales and project execution.
- Conduct solution presentations, technical workshops, product demonstrations, and architecture walkthroughs.
- Stay updated with market trends in digital banking, payments modernization, cloud transformation, open banking, API banking, and emerging technologies.
- Support delivery teams during implementation to ensure alignment with the approved solution architecture.
- Identify solution risks, dependencies, assumptions, and mitigation plans during pursuit and delivery phases.
- Strong experience in solution architecture for banking technology platforms.
- Good understanding of core banking products, processes, and payments ecosystem.
- Experience in designing solutions involving APIs, microservices, middleware, integration platforms, and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of cloud-native deployment architecture, containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and modern deployment models.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical and scalable enterprise solution designs.
- Understanding of enterprise IT platforms, banking delivery frameworks, and implementation lifecycle.
- Experience in preparing technical proposals, effort estimates, solution plans, and architecture documents.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate with clients, product teams, delivery teams, and senior leadership.
- Awareness of latest banking and technology trends including digital banking, cloud, open banking, API ecosystems, AI/automation, and payments modernization.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct technical presentations, demos, workshops, and client discussions.
- Prior experience in core banking transformation, payments modernization, digital banking, or banking platform implementation.
- Experience with enterprise banking solutions such as Finacle, Temenos, Flexcube, T24, or similar platforms would be an added advantage.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or private cloud environments.
- Experience in presales, RFP solutioning, consulting, or client-facing architecture roles.
- Knowledge of regulatory, security, compliance, and data residency considerations in banking implementations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Banking Technology, or related field.
- Architecture, cloud, or banking technology certifications would be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate should be a strong banking technology professional with the ability to combine domain knowledge, technical architecture, consulting mindset, and client-facing communication skills. The candidate should be comfortable working in complex banking transformation programs and should be able to provide practical, scalable, and innovative solution designs.
10+ years of overall experience, with at least 5+ years in solution architecture, banking technology, enterprise architecture, or consulting roles.
