Senior Certinia Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Certinia Developer to lead the configuration and implementation of Billing Central and Revenue Recognition on the Salesforce platform. You'll work closely with finance, accounting, and operations teams to automate billing processes and streamline revenue lifecycle management for enterprise clients.

This is a hands-on consulting role for someone who understands both the Salesforce platform and the accounting principles behind billing and revenue recognition.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Configure and implement Certinia Billing Central across various billing models (subscription, usage, milestone, time & material, fixed price, recurring)
• Design and maintain revenue recognition rules and schedules, including straight-line, milestone-based, event-based, and percentage of completion methods
• Configure revenue recognition policies covering recognition method, timing, frequency, and allocation rules
• Support financial processes including deferred revenue, revenue adjustments, credit/rebill, and revenue forecasting
• Build supporting Salesforce configuration (custom objects, Flows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, page layouts, permission sets)
• Support integrations between Certinia and other systems (Sales Cloud, CPQ, PSA, ERP platforms)
• Develop reporting on deferred revenue, recognized revenue, billing forecasts, and revenue performance
• Ensure billing and revenue processes align with relevant accounting standards
• Partner with finance and accounting stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Have

• 5+ years of Salesforce consulting experience
• 3+ years working with Certinia Billing Central
• 3+ years on Revenue Recognition implementations
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly around revenue recognition (IFRS 15, ASC 606)
• Experience delivering end-to-end billing solutions in an enterprise environment
• Experience integrating ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working directly with finance and accounting teams

Technical Depth

• Certinia Billing Central and Revenue Recognition modules
• Salesforce Flow and declarative configuration
• SOQL and Salesforce reporting/dashboards
• Apex (nice to have)
• Understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and multi-currency accounting

Preferred Certifications

• Certinia Billing Central Consultant
• Certinia Accounting Consultant
• Salesforce Administrator or Advanced Administrator
• Salesforce Platform App Builder
• Salesforce Revenue Cloud Accredited Professional (preferred)

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud, CPQ, or PSA
• Background in enterprise finance transformation projects
• Experience with financial close processes
