As the Credit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the credit strategy and operations of the Vishwas-Credit department. Your primary focus will be to ensure the department's credit policies and procedures are aligned with the bank's overall objectives and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of credit analysts and underwriters, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their skills and performance.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is required, with a preference for a master's degree in finance or credit management.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in credit management, with a proven track record of leading and managing credit departments.
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, underwriting, and risk assessment techniques, with the ability to make sound credit decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and mentorship skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in using credit analysis tools and software, as well as strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on driving business growth and maintaining high credit standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures that align with the bank's risk appetite and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee the credit analysis and underwriting process, ensuring accurate and timely assessments of credit applications.
  • Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts, providing guidance and support to enhance their decision-making skills.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as risk management and legal, to ensure a holistic approach to credit management.
  • Monitor and analyze credit portfolio performance, identifying trends and potential risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, business partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the department's credit practices remain current and compliant.
  • Conduct regular reviews of credit policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to credit management.
  • Provide periodic reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key credit-related metrics and performance indicators.
