React - hooks, Suspense, and modern patterns; comfortable with Server Components.
Next.js App Router - server vs client components, layouts, route handlers, middleware.
One UI system deeply MUI and/or Tailwind CSS shadcn/ui.
Redux Toolkit (or equivalent modern state management).
NextAuth with OIDC (Wiley CONNECT and/or Azure AD) sessions, protected routes, role-aware UI.
REST API consumption with typed clients - retries, error boundaries, empty and loading states
