Job Description:
Consultant will join an experienced, business-facing team and work in a collaborative, and results-oriented environment.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Apptio Tester to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of Apptio implementations and configurations. The role involves validating cost models, dashboards, and integrations within Apptio, performing functional and regression testing, and collaborating with developers and finance teams to maintain TBM standards.

Detailed Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for Apptio modules (Cost Transparency, Cloud Financial Management, Business Planning).
- Validate data accuracy, cost allocation logic, and reporting outputs in Apptio.
- Test data flows between Apptio and source systems (ERP, CMDB, Cloud billing tools).
- Verify API integrations and ETL processes for consistency and performance.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar.
- Collaborate with Apptio developers and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Perform regression testing after configuration changes or upgrades.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide detailed test reports.
- Ensure adherence to TBM framework and organizational standards.
- Recommend improvements to testing processes and automation strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years in software testing or QA, with at least 1 year in Apptio or TBM-related projects.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Apptio platform and TBM concepts.
- Experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG).
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- ISTQB or similar QA certification. (Not Mandatory)
- Experience with financial systems (SAP, Oracle) and cloud billing data.
- Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for reporting validation.
