DevOps Engineer – AWS Cloud Infrastructure & Automation Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) practices. This role will be responsible for maintaining our deployment infrastructure, automating processes, and supporting our development teams across AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD & Release Management
- Design and implement effective branching strategies that align with our development workflow
- Create and maintain robust release pipelines for both major and minor deployments
- Monitor build pipelines and quickly troubleshoot any deployment failures
- Coordinate and execute releases across various environments with minimal disruption
- Maintain high standards for deployment quality and reliability
Automation & Infrastructure Management
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) using AWS CDK
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine operational tasks
- Continuously identify new opportunities for automation to improve efficiency
- Keep CDK codebase updated with latest requirements and best practices
- Implement and maintain AWS SAM for local testing environments
Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to development teams for environment-related issues
- Collaborate with data team to diagnose and resolve database issues
- Act as an escalation point for complex deployment or environment problems
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps engineering roles
- Expert knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Advanced scripting abilities with PowerShell for automation tasks
- Proficiency with AWS CLI, AWS SAM, and AWS CDK for infrastructure management
- Strong understanding of Git workflows and branching strategies
- Experience implementing and maintaining IaaC solutions
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system and deployment issues
- Experience with certificate management and related security practices
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams
