- Working experience across the financial or banking sector for at least 10 years in roles relevant to the understanding and management of an asset management architecture.
- Knowledgeable in Cloud services including Databases (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL), Caching, Object and Block Storage, Scaling, Load Balancers, Networking etc.
- Work across Asset Management to review requirements, ensuring fit for purpose solutions with high levels of security, scalability, and performance.
- Drive the next phase of our enterprise architecture and data architecture. Ensure the architecture of solutions is aligned to business and IT requirements
- Experience of Architecture patterns such as event driven design, microservices, data mesh etc. Understanding of security best practices, including encryption, firewalls, and identity management
- Proven development experience including engineering best practices
- Play a part in the wider collective management of technology. Based on significant relevant industry experience, develop the architecture agenda and help to drive simplification, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain high-level design documents, architectural standards, and other technical documentation
- aware of business continuity and disaster recovery concepts
- Designing and Implementing Azure Data Architectures
- Establishing and enforcing data governance policies, ensuring data quality, and adhering to industry standards and best practices
- Working with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data architecture roadmaps and strategies
- Deep understanding of Azure services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Designing and implementing efficient data transformation and integration processes
- Developing logical and physical data models to support business requirements

- Strong experience with Azure cloud services .
- Experience with data warehousing and data lakes .
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT methodologies .
- Data modeling and design skills .
- Experience with data governance and compliance .
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills .
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI .
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus .
- Experience in a customer-facing role .
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
