Guidewire Integration Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Integration Developer with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining integrations across the Guidewire InsuranceSuite platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Guidewire Integration Gateway (IG), Guidewire Cloud integrations, and building scalable APIs and messaging solutions to connect Guidewire applications with internal and third-party systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations for Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
• Develop and configure integrations using Guidewire Integration Gateway (IG), REST APIs, SOAP web services, messaging, and batch processes.
• Build and consume APIs to integrate Guidewire with external systems such as payment gateways, document management systems, CRM, ERP, and third-party data providers.
• Configure inbound and outbound messaging, plugins, and event-driven integrations.
• Develop Guidewire Gosu-based integration components where required.
• Work closely with business analysts, architects, and functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, performance tuning, and deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Required Skills

• 4+ years of Guidewire development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire Integration Gateway (IG).
• Strong experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter integrations.
• Proficiency in REST APIs, SOAP web services, JSON, XML, and XSD.
• Experience with Guidewire messaging framework, plugins, and batch processing.
• Good knowledge of Gosu programming.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and integration frameworks is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform implementations.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka or JMS.
• Experience with API management platforms (Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Guidewire certifications are preferred.
• Understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance business processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Guidewire Integration or InsuranceSuite certifications are a plus.

Experience

• 4 10 years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Guidewire integration development experience.
• Experience in at least one end-to-end Guidewire implementation or Guidewire Cloud migration project.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security best practices.
• Exposure to Guidewire Cloud API framework and Integration Framework.
• Experience integrating with document generation, payment, identity management, or regulatory reporting systems.
