About The Job:

• We are seeking an experienced OpenText NMS (Network Operations Management) Engineer with hands-on expertise in network monitoring, fault management, performance monitoring, configuration management, and network automation.
• The candidate will be responsible for implementing, administering, and supporting OpenText NOM solutions across enterprise network environments.

Essential Job Functions:

• Install, configure, and administer OpenText Network Operations Management (NOM) platform.
• Manage Network Node Manager i (NNMi) and Network Automation (NA) components.
• Perform network discovery, topology mapping, fault detection, and event correlation.
• Monitor network performance and capacity across physical, virtual, wireless, and SDN environments.
• Configure alerts, dashboards, reports, and performance thresholds.
• Manage network configuration backups, compliance policies, and change tracking.
• Troubleshoot network incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Integrate NOM with ITSM, monitoring, and reporting tools.
• Automate routine operational activities using scripts and workflows.
• Work closely with network operations, infrastructure, and security teams to maintain network availability.

Qualifications:
Required Skills

• Strong experience with OpenText NOM / Micro Focus NOM.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Network Node Manager i (NNMi)
  • Network Automation (NA)
  • Performance Monitoring
  • Fault Management
  • Configuration & Compliance Management
• Knowledge of:
  • TCP/IP
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Routing & Switching (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Huawei)
  • SNMP
  • NetFlow
  • Syslog
  • SDN and Virtual Networks
• Experience with Linux and Windows Administration.
• Scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and Incident Management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Network Observability and Performance Analytics.
• Integration experience with ServiceNow, Splunk, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• OpenText / Micro Focus NOM Certifications.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of Network Monitoring and Management experience.
• Experience supporting large enterprise network environments.
