Candidate must ready to relocate in Oman after 15 days of joining in Virtusa offshore any location, once receive VISA then candidate need to travel & work in Oman for 3 months (project can be get extend 3-6 months)

APIGEE Admin, upgrading Lead role- 6 to 8 yrs, PAN India location, Virtusa office F2F onboarding, CREQ263424 , Job loc- Oman
Onboarding F2F in virtusa office, after 15 days candidate need to travel onshore Oman job location.
Rate- 1.5 lac PM
JD- Technical Leadership Lead, mentor, and guide a team of API developers; conduct design and code reviews to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and coding standards.
API Design & Development Design, build, and maintain complex API proxies, shared flows, and custom policies within Apigee.
Security & Governance Implement and enforce robust API security
models, including OAuth 2.0
, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, SAML, API Key validation, and Mutual TLS (mTLS).
Traffic Management & Mediation Configure advanced Apigee policies for rate limiting, spike arrests, caching, payload transformation (JSON/XML), and fault handling.
Custom Development Write custom logic using JavaScript, Java, or Python callouts when out-of-the-box Apigee policies do not meet complex business requirements.
CI/CD & Automation Architect and maintain automated deployment pipelines for API proxies using tools like Maven, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Apigee deployment plugins.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor API traffic, analyze analytics dashboards, and troubleshoot complex production issues, latency spikes, and backend connectivity problems.
Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with backend service owners, frontend teams, cloud architects, and product managers to define API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger) and onboarding processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience 8 to 10 years of overall software development and systems integration experience.
Apigee Expertise Minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on Apigee (Apigee Edge, Apigee X, or Apigee Hybrid).
API Architecture Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles, Microservices architecture, and API lifecycle management.
Security Protocols Strong hands-on knowledge of web security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL, CORS).
Programming Languages Proficiency in backend programming/scripting (Java, Node.js, JavaScript, or Python).
DevOps & CI/CD Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD automation tools for API deployment (e.g., apigeetool, apigee-maven-plugin).
Certification Google Cloud Professional Apigee API Engineer certification.
Cloud Ecosystem Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking, load balancing, and IAM.
Containerization Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (especially if dealing with Apigee Hybrid or backend microservices)
