SDE III - Backend Commerce

Minimum Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or related field

• 5-8+ years of backend development experience

• Proven ownership of scalable, production-grade systems

• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers

Core Technical Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in backend technologies (Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Go, or Python)

• Expertise in designing scalable REST/GraphQL APIs

• Strong system design knowledge (distributed systems, scalability, fault tolerance)

• Advanced experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB)

• Performance tuning, caching strategies, and large-scale data handling

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD

• Experience with event-driven architecture and background job processing

• Strong understanding of security best practices (OAuth, JWT, RBAC)

AI Engineering (Good to Have / Preferred)

• Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Vertex AI, Anthropic) into backend services

• Basic understanding of embeddings and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)

• Familiarity with RAG-based architectures

• Experience building AI-powered APIs with streaming responses

• Awareness of AI cost control, rate limiting, and monitoring

• Exposure to AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain or similar)

• Understanding of AI evaluation and prompt optimization fundamentals

Observability & Reliability

• Hands-on with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch

• Experience defining and monitoring SLAs/SLOs

• Strong incident management and production debugging skills
