About The Job:

  • We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Data & Integration Architect to support enterprise-wide manufacturing data transformation initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, OT/IT systems, data flows, and integration architectures.
  • The role requires working closely with business stakeholders, site SMEs, architects, and technology teams to document current-state processes, define future-state data flows, identify integration gaps, and align site-specific implementations with enterprise reference architectures.
  • This position is highly consultative and requires excellent stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and data mapping capabilities.

Essential Job Functions:
Manufacturing Data Architecture

  • Analyze and document data flows across manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain, and enterprise systems.
  • Define conceptual and logical data flow diagrams for manufacturing ecosystems.
  • Align site-specific architectures with enterprise reference architecture standards.
  • Identify integration gaps, process inconsistencies, and opportunities for standardization.
  • Support development of scalable manufacturing data models and integration frameworks.

Data Mapping & Lineage

  • Perform end-to-end data mapping across multiple IT and OT platforms.
  • Analyze upstream and downstream data dependencies.
  • Document data lineage, ownership, transformation rules, and business definitions.
  • Develop source-to-target mappings for manufacturing data integration initiatives.
  • Validate data movement and data quality across systems.

Manufacturing Systems & Platform Assessment

  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand existing manufacturing platforms.
  • Assess and document integrations involving:
    • MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
    • ERP Systems (SAP preferred)
    • Historians
    • SCADA Systems
    • LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems)
    • OT Platforms
    • Manufacturing Data Platforms
    • CDC, ASD, API, PP Blister platforms (preferred but not mandatory)

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct workshops and interviews with SMEs, plant stakeholders, business leads, solution architects, and engineering teams.
  • Gather and validate business, process, and integration requirements.
  • Document current-state and future-state architecture.
  • Identify differences across sites and synthesize common patterns and variations.
  • Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams.

Architecture & Solution Definition

  • Develop architecture artifacts including:
    • Data Flow Diagrams
    • Integration Landscapes
    • Process Maps
    • Architecture Blueprints
    • Capability Models
  • Support creation of target-state architecture recommendations.
  • Define integration and interoperability approaches across manufacturing platforms.

Documentation & Governance

  • Produce high-quality architecture documentation and executive summaries.
  • Maintain architecture repositories and data flow documentation.
  • Support governance reviews and architecture assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8-10 Year

Data & Integration Skills

  • Ability to trace and document data movement across platforms.
  • Experience with ETL, APIs, middleware, and system integrations.
  • Understanding of master data and transactional data flows.

Architecture Skills

  • Experience creating conceptual and logical architecture diagrams.
  • Ability to define end-to-end data flow architecture.
  • Experience aligning solutions with enterprise reference architecture.
  • Knowledge of integration patterns and enterprise architecture principles.

Stakeholder Management

  • Strong interviewing and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with:
    • Manufacturing SMEs
    • Business Stakeholders
    • Site Teams
    • Enterprise Architects
    • Technical Engineering Teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, industrial, or consumer goods organizations.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing transformation or digital manufacturing initiatives.
  • Understanding of ISA-95 or manufacturing integration frameworks is desirable.
