Job Description – Azure & PostgreSQL Support Engineer
Location: Mumbai, Chennai, Pune
Experience: 6–8 Years
Shift: Rotational Shifts
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Azure & PostgreSQL Support Engineer to manage cloud-based solutions and database systems while ensuring high availability, performance, and service excellence. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise along with a service-oriented mindset aligned with ITIL practices.
Primary Skills
• Microsoft Azure – Deployment, monitoring, and management of Azure services, VMs, networking, storage, and monitoring tools.
• PostgreSQL – Installation, configuration, administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, troubleshooting, and SQL optimization.
Secondary Skills
• Service Management – Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• ITIL – Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices in production support environments.
Other Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts / 24x7 support environment.
• Positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure and PostgreSQL databases.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and escalations efficiently.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL service management processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution and deployments.
Nice to Have
• Azure Certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, etc.).
• PostgreSQL replication and advanced database tuning experience.
• Automation/Scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python. |
