Active Directory Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Active Directory Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role will primarily focus on the discovery and migration of Active Directory (AD), DNS, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems as part of a company divestiture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and optimizing AD environments, DNS services, and deploying and migrating Microsoft Certificate Services or other PKI solutions. Familiarity with AWS systems and Entra ID is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the discovery, assessment, and documentation of existing Active Directory, DNS, and PKI systems in preparation for migration.

• Design and implement migration strategies for Active Directory and DNS services to ensure a seamless transition during the divestiture process.

• Plan and execute the deployment and migration of Microsoft Certificate Services or other PKI solutions to support secure communications and identity management.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for identity management and access control initiatives throughout the divestiture.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Active Directory, DNS, and PKI systems during and after migration.

• Implement best practices for Active Directory security, including group policies, user permissions, and auditing, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

• Provide guidance and support related to AWS systems and Entra ID, ensuring integration with the existing identity management infrastructure.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in identity management, DNS, PKI solutions, and cloud services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proven experience as an Active Directory Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of Active Directory and DNS.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Certificate Services or other PKI solutions, including deployment and migration processes.

• Familiarity with AWS systems and Entra ID, with experience in integrating these services with on-premises identity solutions.

• Strong experience with Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
