SAP Python / BTP

About The Job:

• We are looking for an SAP Python / BTP Consultant to design, develop, integrate, and support cloud-native solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform.
• The consultant will work with functional teams, architects, and business stakeholders to build scalable applications, APIs, integrations, automation scripts, and extensions across SAP and non-SAP landscapes.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design, develop, and deploy applications, extensions, and integrations on SAP BTP.
• Develop Python-based utilities, automation scripts, APIs, data processing jobs, and integration components.
• Build and expose services using REST APIs, OData services, and event-driven integration patterns.
• Work with SAP BTP services such as Cloud Foundry, SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, SAP Build, and SAP HANA Cloud.
• Integrate SAP BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, and non-SAP systems.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Prepare technical specifications, development documents, unit test cases, and deployment documentation.
• Support unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, cutover, and hypercare.
• Ensure solutions follow SAP Clean Core principles, security standards, performance guidelines, and development best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience

• 4–8 years of overall experience in SAP development, integration, cloud application development, or enterprise application development.
• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP application development, extension development, or integration development.
• Strong programming experience in Python, with exposure to API development, automation, data handling, and backend services.
• Good understanding of SAP BTP architecture, subaccounts, entitlements, destinations, connectivity, roles, and security concepts.
• Experience with REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, and service-based integration.
• Working knowledge of SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration, API Management, or similar middleware platforms.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC integration scenarios.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Git-based development, transport management, and deployment processes.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, Node.js, Java, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA Cloud, SQL, CDS views, or data modeling concepts.
• Exposure to SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, machine learning, GenAI, or intelligent automation use cases.
• Experience with SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Workflow, or SAP Build Apps.
• Understanding of SAP Fiori, UI5, Launchpad, and side-by-side extensibility.
• Exposure to hyperscalers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Python, or cloud certifications would be an advantage.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant SAP, cloud, integration, or Python certifications are preferred.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments is desirable.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• The ideal candidate is a hands-on SAP technology consultant with strong Python development skills and practical experience in SAP BTP.
• The candidate should be comfortable working across development, integration, automation, testing, and production support, while collaborating effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
