ML & AI Engineer II

What's the role?

As an AI ML Engineer, you will help design, build, and operationalize machine learning and generative AI solutions that drive business impact. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will contribute to the development of scalable models, data pipelines, and intelligent applications that support HERE's products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models across use cases such as classification, forecasting, NLP, and generative AI.
• Build scalable data pipelines and integrate AI-powered solutions into production environments.
• Collaborate with Data Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to translate business challenges into practical AI solutions.
• Improve model performance, scalability, and reliability through continuous optimization and experimentation.
• Support model monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management to ensure sustainable and responsible AI deployment.

Who are you?

You are a solution-oriented engineer with strong technical capabilities and a passion for building scalable AI-powered systems. You enjoy working across disciplines, turning complex problems into practical solutions, and delivering measurable business impact.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience using machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning applications, including large-scale or API-driven solutions.
• Practical experience implementing Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions within enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts and experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with deep learning, computer vision, and modern AI techniques, with the ability to apply them to real-world business challenges.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
