  • Exp: 5-8 years

Scripting & Automation

  • Groovy Scripting: Experience in writing Jenkins pipelines using Groovy for CI/CD automation.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins backend is desired, including setup, installation, and upgrading Jenkins.
  • Shell Scripting: Proven experience writing and maintaining robust shell scripts for automating system tasks, process orchestration, log management, and deployment workflows.
  • Strong command-line proficiency with the ability to write efficient, reusable code.
  • Experience troubleshooting shell scripts in production environments.
  • Experience interacting with RESTful APIs using shell scripting (e.g., via curl, HTTPS, or similar tools) for data retrieval, automation, and integration.
  • Python Scripting: Proficient in Python with a strong focus on DevOps tooling and automation.
  • Experience developing scripts and tools for infrastructure orchestration, data processing, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Plotly for creating interactive visualizations.
  • Experience interacting with RESTful APIs using Python (e.g., via requests, HTTPS) for automation, integration, and data exchange with external systems.

System & Debugging Skills

  • Unix/Linux Debugging: Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging issues at the Unix/Linux system level.
  • Experience resolving performance bottlenecks, network issues, system errors, process failures, and service-level diagnostics.
  • Proficient with standard debugging tools such as strace, lsof, top, journalctl, and log analysis to resolve complex production issues.
  • Command Line Interfaces (CLIs): Comfortable working with various CLIs for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and DevOps tools.

Cloud & Infrastructure

  • AWS Expertise:
    • Experience with AWS APIs and services.
    • Skilled in configuring and managing EKS clusters, EC2 instances, S3, IAM, VPC, and networking components.
  • ROSA:
    • Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA).
    • Proficient in setting up clusters, managing workloads, configuring identity providers, and integrating with AWS services.
    • Strong understanding of ROSA architecture, operational best practices, and troubleshooting in production environments.
  • EKS Experience:
    • Hands-on experience with Client EKS, including provisioning and managing Kubernetes clusters.
    • Experience configuring networking and security (VPC, IAM, RBAC).
    • Experience deploying containerized applications at scale.
    • Skilled in integrating EKS with CI/CD pipelines.
    • Experience with monitoring/logging solutions such as CloudWatch and Prometheus.
    • Experience troubleshooting cluster and workload issues in production environments.

Containerization

  • Docker:
    • Experience managing and debugging existing Docker containers in production environments.
    • Skilled in inspecting container behavior, analyzing logs, accessing container file systems, and resolving issues related to performance, networking, and configuration.
    • Familiar with Docker CLI and underlying container mechanisms for effective troubleshooting.

Data Platforms & Analytics

  • Dataiku:
    • Experience with Dataiku for building and managing data workflows and analytics is highly desirable.
  • Databricks:
    • Strong experience with performance tuning and debugging in Databricks environments.
    • Familiarity with Databricks for big data processing, analytics, and collaborative data science workflows.
  • SQL Server:
    • Proficient in performance analysis and deep-level debugging of SQL Server environments.
    • Skilled in identifying and resolving slow queries, blocking issues, deadlocks, and inefficient indexing.

Monitoring and Log Checking Tools

  • Grafana:
    • Experience deploying and configuring Grafana agents/exporters for server health, performance, and infrastructure monitoring.
    • Skilled in building and maintaining dashboards.
    • Experience setting up alerting rules.
    • Experience integrating Grafana with data sources such as Prometheus, CloudWatch, and Elasticsearch for real-time visibility into system and application performance.
  • Splunk:
    • Hands-on experience deploying and managing Splunk forwarders/agents for log collection, indexing, and analysis.
    • Proficient in writing SPL (Search Processing Language) queries for log correlation, troubleshooting, and building dashboards/alerts for proactive monitoring.
    • Experience using Splunk to identify performance bottlenecks, error patterns, and system anomalies in production environments.
