About The Job:

  • We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to join our embedded software team working on Battery Management System (Client) software for automotive applications.
  • This role is not a cloud-only DevOps position; it sits at the intersection of embedded systems, model-based development, functional safety, and modern CI/CD practices.
  • You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining a robust build, integration, and test pipeline that supports automotive classic software, application software, basic software, and system integration, while respecting ISO 26262, ASPICE, and ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity requirements.
  • This role is critical to enabling a modern software factory approach in a regulated automotive environment.

Essential Job Functions:
DevOps & CI/CD Architecture

  • Architect, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for embedded automotive software.
  • Design pipelines that support model-based development, code generation, build, integration, testing, and artifact management.
  • Ensure pipelines are deterministic, traceable, auditable, and compliant with automotive standards.
  • Own pipeline reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Model-Based Development Automation

  • Automate workflows in the MathWorks ecosystem (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Embedded Coder).
  • Integrate model builds, code generation, and model checks into CI pipelines.
  • Enable automated MIL, SIL, and HIL testing.
  • Support versioning, traceability, and reproducibility of generated artifacts.

Build, Integration & Test Automation

  • Implement and maintain build automation for embedded targets.
  • Integrate static code analysis, coding rule checks, and quality gates into the pipeline.
  • Support continuous integration across application software, basic software, and system-level components.
  • Enable automated testing at multiple levels including unit, integration, and regression testing.

Functional Safety & Compliance

  • Design pipelines that comply with ISO 26262 requirements.
  • Collaborate with safety engineers to ensure DevOps practices align with functional safety processes.

Cybersecurity & Secure Development

  • Apply secure development principles within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to a secure software supply chain mindset.

Modern Software Factory Enablement

  • Drive adoption of modern software factory concepts in an embedded automotive context.
  • Implement best practices for:
    • Infrastructure as Code
    • Pipelines-as-Code
    • Reproducible Builds
    • Artifact and Dependency Management
  • Balance modern DevOps practices with automotive regulatory and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience architecting and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong background in embedded software development workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Familiarity with model-based development using MathWorks tools.
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR Classic tooling and workflows.
  • Experience with code generation and its integration into automated pipelines.
  • Experience with static code analysis for embedded C/C++.
  • Experience with version control systems, Git, and artifact management.
  • Practical experience with containerization and virtualized build environments.

Automotive & Embedded Domain Knowledge

  • Experience working in the automotive domain.
  • Exposure to ISO 26262 functional safety processes and constraints.
  • Awareness of ASPICE expectations in software development.
  • Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity standards and secure development practices.

Ways of Working
