Role Purpose
The Network Engineer will be responsible for design, implementation, operations, and support of enterprise wired and wireless networks, with handson expertise in Cisco and Juniper technologies. The role supports businesscritical network infrastructure ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Support

Provide L2/L3 support for wired and wireless network environments
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to routing, switching, and WLAN
Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes

Implementation & Configuration

Configure and maintain Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and wireless systems
Implement VLANs, trunking, routing protocols, redundancy, and QoS
Support new site deployments, expansions, and network upgrades
Coordinate with ISPs, OEM vendors, and internal stakeholders

Wired & Wireless Technologies

Manage LAN, WAN, WLAN infrastructure
Configure routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
Support enterprise wireless (Controllerbased WLANs, RF fundamentals, WLAN security)
Assist with wireless performance tuning and coverage optimization

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain updated network diagrams, SOPs, and configuration documentation
Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and organizational standards
Support audits and internal reviews when required


Required Technical Skills
Core Networking

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI Model, VLANs, STP, DHCP, DNS
Handson experience with Cisco IOS/NXOS and Juniper JunOS

Wired Technologies

Cisco Catalyst / Nexus
Juniper EX / QFX switches

Wireless Technologies

Enterprise WLAN solutions (Cisco / Juniper / equivalent)
Knowledge of WLAN security (802.1X, WPA2/WPA3)

Tools (Preferred)

Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar)
Packet analysis tools (Wireshark)


Certifications
Mandatory / Strongly Preferred

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA)

Preferred

CCNP (Enterprise / Wireless)
JNCIS / JNCIP
ITIL Foundation


Experience & Education

3-8 years of experience in enterprise or serviceprovider networking
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / IT / Computer Science (or equivalent experience)


Behavioral Competencies

Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset
Clear communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to support oncall or shiftbased operations (if required)
