Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer

Role

We are looking for a Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer to join our team. This is a Hybrid role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering in the Engineering department. In this position, you will drive core software design specifications, build high-performance cloud applications, and partner across cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust software solutions.

What you'll do (Role Expectations)

• Partner with Product Management to drive detailed product requirements
• Define software design specifications and implement bug-free code using test-driven methodology
• Identify opportunities to refactor existing code in the interest of maintainability and reusability
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams including security, UI, platform, analytics, and quality assurance
• Diagnose complex customer issues and take ownership of issue resolution

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
• 8+ years of software development experience in building large-scale applications using Python or Golang
• Hands-on experience with popular public cloud services infrastructure offerings such as AWS, GCP, Azure
• Good knowledge with cloud networking namely - transit gateway, IGW, NATGW, NACL, security groups, GWLB, ILB, Route53, Azure DNS
• Strong software design, profiling, and verification skills and exposure to optimizing for scale and performance
• Strong knowledge of firewalls and networking protocols

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools, LLM APIs, or AI-driven automation to optimize software engineering workflows
• Strong distributed systems and SaaS development experience
• Familiarity with identity management and authentication
