Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Python.
• Develop automated test scripts for UI, API, backend, and integration testing using Selenium, Playwright, and PyTest.
• Build reusable automation libraries, utilities, and test infrastructure components.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, End-to-End (E2E), and System Integration Testing (SIT).
• Design and execute automated API tests for RESTful services and microservices.
• Validate APIs, databases, backend services, and data integrity.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enable Continuous Testing.
• Analyze test coverage, automation effectiveness, and quality metrics.
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide quality engineering recommendations.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to drive resolution.
• Define test strategies, estimation, and quality plans for releases.
• Review automation code and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive adoption of quality engineering practices across teams.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
Python & Software Engineering
• 8+ years of Software QA/Test Automation experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python programming experience.
• Strong understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, Exception Handling, Multithreading, Generators, Decorators, Context Managers, and Package Management.
Test Automation
• Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and PyTest.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with Page Object Model (POM), Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, and Hybrid Frameworks.
• Test reporting using Allure or similar reporting tools.
• Experience implementing parallel and distributed test execution.
API & Integration Testing
• Strong experience in REST API automation.
• Hands-on experience with Python Requests library and Postman.
• Experience with OAuth2, JWT Authentication, API Contract Testing, Schema Validation, API Mocking, and Service Virtualization.
• Experience testing microservices-based applications.
Database & Backend Testing
• Strong SQL knowledge.
