About The Job:
- Responsibility – To extend technical support to sales/customers for all kinds of technical enquiries, manage projects, and handle seal failure analysis (performance issues).
- Has a large technical understanding to respond to customers' requests to safeguard existing business.
Essential Job Functions:
- Study the EAR (Engineering Action Request), customer drawings/technical specifications, perform seal selection, and make proposal drawings for potential customers.
- Follow up on proposals with customers for approval and related activities.
- Support seal installation during prototype development.
- In case of seal failure, study and identify possible reasons and prepare failure analysis reports with guidance from experts.
- Understand customer technical training requirements.
- Visit customers along with CSR as and when required.
- Handle projects and maintain project reports.
- Keep track of customer and supplier drawings, standards, quotations, and related documentation.
- Participate in promotional activities such as exhibitions and technical seminars.
- Promote new seals in customer applications.
- Apply process knowledge of the Oil & Gas segment.
Qualifications:
- BE in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in Oil & Gas and OEM Sales with 5-7 Years.
- Strong work experience in application engineering and design with respective customers.
- Familiar with CRM Software.
- Strong knowledge of Business Sales and Marketing Practices.
- Knowledge of Seals, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics Systems preferred.
- Process knowledge of Oil & Gas segment.
- Knowledge on Rubber/Plastic products.
- Excellent customer focus and understanding of total customer satisfaction.
- Ability to lead and motivate customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, people and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive involvement and good initiative-taking abilities.
