Company Description Chestnut Storeys – Interior Design Studio is a boutique practice that crafts homes rooted in culture, craft, and contemporary expression. The studio focuses on translating clients’ personal narratives into spaces that feel warm, intentional, and distinctly individual. We are expanding our team and looking for talented individuals to bring their creativity and technical expertise to our upcoming projects. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Chennai. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing mood boards, and creating detailed interior layouts that reflect each client’s story and functional requirements. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, coordinating with architects and contractors, preparing construction drawings, and selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) in line with project budgets and timelines. Qualifications Who We Are Looking For: We are currently hiring for two distinct levels of experience for immediate joining in our Chennai office: Freshers: We welcome creative new graduates who are eager to learn, highly motivated, and passionate about design. You will work closely with our team to develop your skills and contribute to live projects. Experienced Professionals (2-4 Years): We are seeking architects and interior designers with hands-on project experience. You should be comfortable taking ownership of design tasks, executing project requirements, and delivering high-quality results. Strict Requirements (Please read before applying): Experience: Maximum of 4 years of experience. Candidates with 5 or more years of experience will not be considered for this opening. Location: Must currently reside in Chennai or be able to relocate immediately. Remote work is not available. Skills: A strong portfolio showcasing your design aesthetic, creativity, and technical capabilities. Education: Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
