Lead / Director, SaaS Operations
Job Description
Role summary
\n\nA senior, hands-on SaaS operations leader who owns the build, operation, security, and compliance of all Azure infrastructure across production and lower environments, and leads a small DevOps/infrastructure team.
\n\nKey responsibilities
\n\n- \n
- Own the Azure estate end to end across all environments — compute, networking, identity, and data. \n
- Bring every environment under Infrastructure-as-Code with automated, rollback-safe CI/CD. \n
- Define and run the reliability practice: SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, alerting, incident response, and blameless postmortems. \n
- Operate security and compliance: least-privilege access, secret and certificate/mTLS lifecycle, and HIPAA/SOC 2 evidence. \n
- Manage cloud cost and capacity; lead, mentor, and grow a small DevOps/infrastructure team. \n
Required skills and experience
\n\n- \n
- 8+ years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE, including 2+ years leading or mentoring a team. \n
- Deep, hands-on Microsoft Azure across compute, networking, identity (Entra ID), and data (Azure SQL / SQL Server). \n
- Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or Bicep, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) with safe, automated, rollback-capable deployments. \n
- Reliability engineering in practice: defining and operating SLOs/SLIs and error budgets, running incident response and postmortems. \n
- Observability with Azure Monitor / Application Insights / Log Analytics (KQL), and improving delivery against the DORA four keys. \n
- Security and compliance operations in a regulated setting: least-privilege/RBAC, secret and certificate/mTLS lifecycle, and audit evidence for HIPAA and SOC 2. \n
- A proven player-coach who sets standards and does the hands-on work, not only directs it. \n
Preferred qualifications (nice to have)
\n\n- \n
- Azure certifications (Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert). \n
- Cost governance / FinOps experience, and database-operations depth. \n
- Experience operating healthcare or other regulated SaaS, or building a self-service internal developer platform. \n
What a strong candidate looks like Has personally built and operated multi-environment Azure estates (not only managed others who did), can point to SLOs they defined and incidents they led end to end, and has coached a small team through a concrete reliability or delivery-performance improvement.
\n\nLocation and work model
\n\nBased in Pune, India, on-site or hybrid, with several hours of daily overlap with a US-based team (so some early-evening India hours are part of the rhythm). This is a build-and-operate role: you will both set the standard and do the hands-on work as the delivery and reliability practice matures.
\n\nCompensation
\nCompetitive compensation benchmarked to the Pune market for senior SaaS/DevOps leadership. Specific range shared early in the process and in line with applicable pay-transparency requirements.
\n\nEqual opportunity and accommodation
\n\nWe are an equal-opportunity employer and evaluate candidates on their ability to perform the essential functions of the role. We provide reasonable accommodation for applicants and employees with disabilities — please let us know if you need one during the process.
