Job Description Position: Assistant Professor – Computer Science Organization: Amity University Hyderabad Department: Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Science Location: Hyderabad, Telangana Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role Amity University Hyderabad invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor – Computer Science . The selected candidate will contribute to high-quality teaching, research, curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic administration while supporting the University's mission of academic excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science courses. Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and assessments. Develop and update curriculum in line with industry trends and university standards. Mentor students in academics, internships, projects, and career development. Guide undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. Conduct quality research and publish papers in reputed journals (Scopus/SCI-indexed preferred). Apply for funded research projects, consultancy assignments, and patents. Participate in accreditation, quality assurance, and departmental administrative activities. Collaborate with industry and academic partners for internships, research, and innovation. Organize seminars, workshops, conferences, and faculty development programs. Preferred Areas of Specialization Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Data Science & Analytics Cyber Security Cloud Computing Internet of Things (IoT) Software Engineering Computer Networks Database Systems Full Stack Development Operating Systems Compiler Design Distributed Computing Essential Qualifications B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering or a related discipline. M.Tech/M.E. in Computer Science & Engineering or a relevant specialization. Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology (Awarded or Thesis Submitted, as per institutional requirements). Strong academic record throughout. NET qualification may be preferred where applicable. Experience Prior teaching experience at a recognized university/institution is desirable. Experience in curriculum design, research publications, and project supervision is preferred. Industry experience in emerging technologies will be an added advantage. Required Skills Strong command of Computer Science fundamentals. Excellent teaching, communication, and presentation skills. Programming proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or related technologies. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Research orientation with a demonstrated publication record. Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary academic environment
