Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Facade Designer role based in Mumbai. The Facade Designer will develop detailed façade concepts and system layouts for windows, doors, cladding, and glazing in line with project design intent and performance requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with structural and MEP teams, and ensuring façade details meet local codes, international standards, and project specifications. The role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and suppliers to resolve design issues, optimize constructability, and support value engineering. The Facade Designer will also assist with material selection, performance analysis, and technical documentation throughout design, tender, and execution stages. Qualifications Strong façade design skills, including experience with Facade and Facade Design for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects. Proficiency in developing and reviewing Shop Drawings, with attention to technical accuracy. Hands-on experience with external envelope systems such as Cladding and Glazing, including interface details and performance considerations. Advanced skills in CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with 3D modeling tools used in façade design. Understanding of structural behavior, building physics, waterproofing, thermal and acoustic performance, and relevant international and regional standards. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field; specialized training in façade engineering is an advantage. Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, solve technical problems, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams. Prior experience in façade consultancy, façade contracting, or building envelope design for Middle East or similar climates is preferred.
