Role
As a Staff Software Engineer, Finance Integrations within Zscaler's IT organization (reporting to the Manager, Integrations), you will lead the design and delivery of scalable integration and automation solutions supporting Finance transformation. In this role, you will partner closely with Finance stakeholders to modernize processes, reduce spreadsheet dependencies, improve data flow across systems, and deliver intelligent automation using APIs, middleware, RPA, and AI technologies. You will act as a key technical driver working across cross-functional groups to deliver measurable business outcomes.
What You'll Do (Role Expectations)
- Design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise integrations using APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and sound enterprise architecture principles
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into intelligent automation solutions utilizing AI/ML, generative AI, AI agents, workflow tools, and RPA
- Eliminate manual spreadsheet dependencies and improve data integrity across finance workflows with sustainable, scalable system-based architectures
- Embed cybersecurity best practices into code and partner with Finance, Internal Audit, and InfoSec to satisfy SOX, audit, and internal control requirements
- Execute rigorous engineering standards-including clean code, defensive programming, unit/integration testing, QA automation, UAT support, and continuous bug remediation

What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, integrations, or enterprise applications
- Strong finance systems background with hands-on experience supporting and modernizing finance business processes
- Deep expertise in APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration patterns
- Proven experience delivering AI, automation, or intelligent process transformation solutions
- Solid understanding of SOX, audit, cybersecurity awareness, and internal controls in an enterprise environment
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Hands-on experience with key systems such as NetSuite, Workday, FloQast, and Workiva
- Proven track record implementing integrations via Workato, UiPath, and MCP integrations
- Experience leveraging advanced AI models and technologies, such as Gemini, to augment business process automation
