QA Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web, mobile, and backend applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual and automation testing, strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, UX designers, and DevOps teams to identify issues early and improve the overall software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing.
• Validate REST APIs and backend services using API testing tools.
• Execute cross-browser, cross-platform, and mobile application testing.
• Perform performance, usability, and compatibility testing where applicable.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and automation coverage.
• Maintain detailed test documentation and quality metrics.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience with manual and automation testing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of test case design techniques and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with SQL for database validation and data verification.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
