Regional Business Manager (RBM) – Channel Sales

\nDirect Reports: Area Business Managers, Astt. Area Business Managers
\n\nAbout the Role
\n\nThe Regional Business Manager (RBM) will lead, manage, and grow the Channel Sales business for the assigned region. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets, building strong channel partner relationships, driving brand visibility, and ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders. The RBM will guide and support Area Managers who will directly report into this position.

\n\nResponsibilities
\n\nSales & Business Growth
\n- \n
- Own and deliver regional sales targets across all product categories. \n
- Drive revenue growth through effective channel development, distribution expansion, and partner engagement. \n
- Plan & execute monthly, quarterly, and annual business strategies for the region. \n
- Identify and onboard new channel partners aligned with company objectives. \n
- Review and analyse regional sales performance, market trends, and competitor actions. \n
Team Leadership & People Development
\n- \n
- Lead and manage a team of Area Managers and Sales Executives. \n
- Conduct regular field visits, market audits, and on-ground reviews. \n
- Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and skill development guidance. \n
- Ensure effective delegation, target allocation, and route planning. \n
Channel Partner Management
\n- \n
- Strengthen long-term relations with distributors, dealers, and key retail partners. \n
- Conduct joint business planning with partners. \n
- Resolve partner issues related to pricing, schemes, delivery, or after-sales. \n
Networking with Architects / Interior Designers / Specifiers
\n- \n
- Build strong relationships with leading Architects, Interior Designers, and Specifiers. \n
- Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and project consultations. \n
- Collaborate with Projects Team for specification conversions. \n
- Participate in architect events and exhibitions. \n
Business Development & Market Expansion
\n- \n
- Identify new market opportunities and institutional requirements. \n
- Lead entry in potential micro-markets. \n
- Strengthen brand presence via retail expansion and key account acquisition. \n
Operations, Compliance & Coordination
\n- \n
- Ensure adherence to commercial policies and credit norms. \n
- Coordinate with internal teams for seamless execution. \n
- Monitor pricing, discounting, and profitability. \n
- Ensure effective execution of schemes and product launches. \n
MIS & Reporting
\n- \n
- Provide accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market insights. \n
- Track performance of Area Managers and support improvement plans. \n
- Review pipeline, receivables, and KPIs. \n
Qualifications
\n\n- \n
- Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred. \n
- 10–15 years of Channel Sales experience (Furniture, Interiors, Modular Solutions, Building Materials preferred). \n
- Experience handling multi-city/regional teams. \n
Required Skills
\n\n- \n
- Strong leadership & team management. \n
- Excellent relationship-building with Architects / ID / Specifiers. \n
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. \n
- High business acumen and data-driven mindset. \n
- Willingness to travel extensively. \n
Preferred Skills

- Experience in the furniture and interiors industry. \n
- Familiarity with modular solutions and building materials. \n
