Technical Account Manager
Job Description
About the Role
\nWe're looking for a Technical Account Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to our clients — the go-to person for technology strategy, service performance, and long-term account success. This is a relationship-driven, technically grounded role for someone who can move fluidly between boardroom conversations and technical deep-dives, helping clients see further ahead and make smarter technology decisions.
\nYou'll own the client relationship end-to-end: understanding business priorities, anticipating risks, and ensuring the technology services we deliver consistently meet — and exceed — expectations.
\nWhat You'll Do:
\nClient Advisory & Relationship Management
\n- \n
- Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of assigned client accounts \n
- Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), strategic planning sessions, and executive-level meetings \n
- Build and evolve client technology roadmaps aligned to business priorities and growth plans \n
- Assist clients with technology budgeting, lifecycle planning, and prioritization of strategic initiatives \n
- Identify opportunities for additional services that create measurable business value for clients \n
Assessment & Strategic Analysis
\n- \n
- Conduct baseline assessments, technology alignment reviews, discovery activities, and maturity assessments using approved advisory frameworks \n
- Proactively monitor client environments and service performance to identify risks and improvement opportunities \n
- Prepare executive summaries, technology assessments, gap analyses, and strategic recommendations \n
Governance & Documentation
\n- \n
- Maintain governance artifacts including roadmaps, account documentation, decision logs, and service reviews \n
- Prepare meeting notes, action-item registers, issue logs, and risk trackers for recurring engagements \n
- Follow standardized templates, delivery methodologies, and quality standards across all client engagements \n
Cross-Functional Collaboration
\n- \n
- Partner with advisors, project managers, engineers, solution architects, cybersecurity professionals, and sales teams to support client success \n
- Advocate for client needs internally while coordinating internal resources to ensure successful delivery \n
- Contribute to internal practice development — process improvement, playbooks, and knowledge sharing \n
What You Bring:
\nExperience
\n- \n
- 3–7 years of experience in Technical Account Management, IT consulting, customer success, account management, or technology leadership \n
- Experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP), technology consulting, or enterprise IT environment strongly preferred \n
- Demonstrated track record of managing client relationships and leading technology-focused business discussions \n
Technical Knowledge
\n- \n
- Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 preferred) \n
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, IT service management practices, and technology lifecycle management \n
- Understanding of governance frameworks and managed services delivery models \n
- Ability to translate technical architectures and service metrics into business-relevant insights for client stakeholders \n
Business Acumen
\n- \n
- Strong understanding of business operations, strategic planning, and risk management \n
- Ability to connect technology recommendations to measurable business outcomes and ROI \n
- Experience facilitating executive-level conversations and business reviews \n
Soft Skills
\n- \n
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to speak to both technical and non-technical audiences \n
- Proven ability to build trusted advisor relationships and influence stakeholders \n
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills \n
Why Join Us
\nThis role sits at the intersection of technology and strategy — a genuine opportunity to shape client outcomes, not just report on them. You'll work closely with cross-functional experts, build long-term trusted relationships, and grow your advisory capabilities in a role designed for someone who wants more ownership, not less.
