Job Description
Brokerage is seeking a skilled Java Developer (Level 2 Software Engineer) to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications within a fast-paced investment banking environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java technologies, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs, with experience in developing scalable, high-performance applications.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and Production Support.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Perform unit testing, code reviews, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.
• Support CI/CD deployments and production releases.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java (Java 8/11/17).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework.
• Experience in Microservices Architecture and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design Patterns.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
