Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
• Design/Re-design, develop, and maintain scalable Scala-based Application. The candidate should have strong application development experience, including local development,
unit and integration testing, build automation, and JAR packaging. They should be able to create and deploy JAR files and validate applications in the target compute environment.
• Implement and enforce Cloud Strategy Pattern architecture across all cloud integrations and services.
• Integrate and operationalize HashiCorp Vault for secure secrets and credential management.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding standards, compliance requirements, and cloud security best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability for large-scale data processing workloads.
• Enhance observability through logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and proactive alerting.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Infra team, and Client teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Conduct code reviews with strong focus on Cloud Strategy Pattern compliance, security, maintainability, and performance.
• Mentor team members and drive engineering best practices across the development team.
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
• Strong hands-on experience with Scala using Functional Programming and Object-Oriented design principles.
• Experience building and supporting batch and streaming data pipelines and strong application development experience.
• Strong SQL and database skills including schema design, transaction management, data consistency, and parameterized queries.
• Experience with distributed processing and messaging technologies such as Kafka, Spark Streaming, or similar frameworks.
• Familiar in ETL/ELT processing, data transformation, reconciliation, backfills, retry mechanisms.
• Proven experience implementing trait and Cloud Strategy Pattern:
o Cloud-agnostic business logic
o Provider abstraction through interfaces/adapters
o Runtime support for Azure, GCP, Alibaba or Hybrid Cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture, IAM/RBAC, TLS-secured communication, and secure networking.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices including input validation, sanitization, secret management, and least-privilege access controls.
• Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault for secret management, authentication, token lifecycle management, and credential rotation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release management, and DevOps best practices.
• Exposure to Shell scripting and working within mixed technology environments (Scala, Java, APIs).
Preferred Experience:
Cloud Strategy Pattern, HashiCorp Vault, Kafka/Spark ecosystem, multi-cloud environments, Alibaba Cloud and modernization of legacy batch platforms.
