Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of QA strategies across Unit, Functional, System Integration, API, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Build automation frameworks from scratch or optimize existing frameworks for better efficiency and maintainability.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases based on business requirements.
• Prepare test strategies, test plans, and automation approaches for functional, API, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and SMEs to understand requirements and define comprehensive test scenarios.
• Track, analyze, and report software quality metrics, test execution status, and defect trends using JIRA dashboards.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and ensure timely resolution.
• Create reusable automation components and utilities to improve productivity.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Support QA Leads in Proof of Concepts (POCs), framework enhancements, and evaluation of new testing tools.
• Drive continuous improvement by incorporating AI-assisted testing tools and modern QA practices.
• Ensure testing activities are completed on schedule, within scope, and with high quality.

Required Skills

• 5–6.5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing.
• Strong expertise in Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of STLC, SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, API, and End-to-End Testing.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, test management, and defect lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SQL for database validation.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers and leading testing initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent qualification.
• ISTQB Advanced, QAI, or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a plus.
• Knowledge of marketing campaigns, SQL, and GenAI tools for QA automation is an added advantage.
• Experience with performance testing tools is desirable.
